Original 18th century Liégeois wardrobe. This piece comes from the region of the present-day Belgian city of Liège, when it was still a prince-bishopric. The moulding and the floral and rocaille carving are typical of the period and style.

Dismountable corpus with sloping rounded pilasters and heavy cornice with cranked profile. Two doors hung on external brass fittings. Both doors and sides of the corpus coffered.

Blossoms, rocaille and leaf tendril carvings on the pilaster strips, the locking bar and the cornice.

Inside 2 drawers and later added shelves.

Original lock and key.

Internal dimensions: 144 cm (56.69 inch) wide and 48 cm (18.89 inch) deep
Depth of the shelves: 41 cm (16.14 inch)
Height of the shelves (listed from bottom to top): 37.5 cm (14.76 inch), 37.5 cm (14.76 inch), 36 cm (14.17 inch), 33 cm (12.99 inch)/ 61 cm (24.01 inch).
Internal dimensions of the drawers: 9.5 cm (3.74 inch) high, 53 cm (20.86 inch) wide, 44 cm (17.32 inch) deep

The cabinet is in a slightly restored good authentic condition with age-related signs of use, including old inactive channels of woodworm and older repairs. All the hardware including the functional lock and key are original.

It can be dismantled into several parts and easily reassembled.
