Beschreibung

A German Frankfurter Wellenschrank (Frankfurt wave cabinet). Hesse, around 1780. Solidly made of pine and waxed.

Single-doored coniferous wood corpus standing on 4 ball feet with multiple profiled plinth and projecting cornice. The “corrugated” door is hung on iron fittings on the outside.

Original fittings, lock and key.

Unfortunately the door has warped irreparably over the centuries (see photos), so that the lock can only be closed with pressure.
