This chest of drawers was traditionally made over 200 years ago using only wooden joints with dowels and hand-forged nails. Today, the furniture is in an authentic, largely original condition with slight signs of age-related wear. Minor repairs have been done for example to the runners of the drawers, to ensure that it is in a functional condition ready for use. New keys were added. The surface was carefully cleaned without destroying the original patina.
