German Provincial Louis XVI Style Sideboard made of Oak

A German provincial credenza or sideboard in oak. Made in the Louis XVI style at a later date, probably in the 1st half of the 20th century.

A German provincial credenza or sideboard in oak. Made in the Louis XVI style at a later date, probably in the 1st half of the 20th century.

Three-door oak body with 4 fluted pilaster strips and a slightly protruding moulded top, standing on 2 skid feet with a flared, multiple curved, moulded plinth frame. Two wide doors flank a narrow door, all made in frame construction and hung on external iron fittings. The panels are moulded in several layers and carved with small floral motifs in the corners.

Inside, a vertical partition wall separates the area behind the right-hand door from the left-hand 2/3.

Original iron fittings mounted.

Very good ready to use condition (surface waxed, lock on right door replaced).
