Beschreibung
A 18th century Flemish Louis XV slanted-flap secretary. Solidly made of oak.
Half-high lateral coffered corpus with 2 large drawers and a slightly recessed superstructure with slanted flap above. Slightly S-shaped curved front (en arbalète) and rounded pilasters, as well as profiled curved plinth apron, ending in curved legs with lion paw feet. Behind the writing flap, which can be locked with the original lock and key, are 4 small drawers and another 4 small hidden drawers under a secret compartment.
Original fittings. Drawers without key.
The old wax has been largely sanded off, revealing the beautiful surface of the oak wood with some patina.
On 2 of the small drawers inside the wooden knobs are damaged (see pictures), but this does not affect the function in any way.
