Original provincial cupboard from the late 18th century or early 19th century. Belgium/ Northern France. Solidly crafted in oak wood.
This authentic primitive piece of furniture is characterised by its purist design in combination with traditional craftsmanship and a charming patina from over 2 centuries. That makes it a perfect wabi sabi piece.
A plain 3/4. high oak body with 2 doors hung on large external iron fittings in frame and panel construction.
Inside there are 2 shelves.
The lock is original, the key and fittings were added later.

The cabinet is in good condition with age-related signs of wear. The surface has been carefully cleaned and waxed to preserve the warm patina of the old oak wood.
The furniture cannot be dismantled for transport. Only the shelves can be removed and the doors unhinged.
