A pair of identical Louis Philippe corner cupboards from around 1860. Solid walnut and veneered on oak.

Half-height two-door corner corpus with curved front, curved plinth apron and fluted profiled top. Round pilasters with carved and turned, as well as fluted, half columns ending in squashed ball feet. Two doors of frame construction, lockable with the original bar lock, with profiled fillings in walnut root wood. Inside there is a shelf.

94.5 cm high / 37.2 inch high,

95 cm wide / 37.4 inch wide,

66.5 cm deep / 26.18 inch deep.

Depth of legs: 70 cm / 27.55 inch

 

Restored condition. Carcase partially disassembled and re-glued; function of doors restored; 1 key plate added; surface coating of top panels removed and re-sealed; surfaces cleaned and polished with shellac.
