Louis XVI style chest of drawers from the 2nd half of the 19th century. Made of oak and poplar wood with a later blue-gray and cream-white paint.
Four-drawer side-coffered body with fluted pilaster strips and a slightly protruding cover plate. Projecting florally carved headboard above 3 further large drawers decorated with fluting.
The artistic coloring and patination make the carved elements of the surface stand out in a wonderfully decorative way.
Dimensions: 102 cm high, 130 cm wide, 51 cm deep
Drawer inner dimensions: 16.5 cm / 8 cm high, 109 cm wide, 41 cm / 42.5 cm deep
Good condition ready for everyday use with slight age-related signs of wear and retouched damage (crack) on the cover plate. The drawers have been resealed from the inside and run perfectly.
