Provincial classicist two-door hall cabinet or wardrobe from around 1800. Solidly crafted in poplar wood with original yellow paint finish.
An exceptionally authentic piece of furniture with outstanding patina.
Poplar wood body with profiled base, standing on three feet at the front and two (concealed) feet at the rear, with coffered sides and an architecturally structured front with slanted fluted corner pilasters and central pilaster. Two doors made in frame construction, each with two panels featuring a diamond motif and hinged on external fittings. The upper section is formed by a multi-moulded and subtly cranked cornice with a frieze zone.

Ready to use condition with age-related signs of wear, including various minor damage, old woodworm holes (not active!) and visible repairs. The right-hand side is a different colour to the yellow tone of the rest of the cabinet surfaces.
The cassette back panel has been replaced with softwood in keeping with the original. The interior has been completely sanded and resealed. A quality lock and key, as well as a matching key plate, have been added.
The cabinet can be dismantled into several parts (base, side panels, multi-part coffered back panel, cornice, doors) for transport.
