A 19th-century unique pair of Rococo style consoles with putti heads. Carved from plaster and painted in polychrome.

A 19th-century unique pair of Rococo style consoles with putti heads. Carved from plaster and painted in polychrome.

The consoles are open from the rear and the top. Most likely they were part of a water feature and served as a water fountain (see mouth openings).

One of the two is damaged with scenes on the nose of the head and below, among other things. The other is in good condition considering its age (see pictures).

Dimensions approx:

77 cm or 66 cm (damaged one) high / 30 inch or 26 inch (damaged one) high,

60 cm wide / 24 inch wide,

42 cm deep / 16 inch deep.
