Since the Middle Ages, the profession of butcher was one of the most lucrative occupations. This was often reflected in their high-quality furniture. Even then, the first butcher’s blocks were created with a top consisting of many individual squared timbers made of hardwood for the most resistant work surface. The principle remained the same until today.

This French Louis Philippe style model is a testament to the quality of these rare pieces. After more than 100 years, the worktable now shines again in new splendor. Placed in a kitchen, it is both practical and of enormous decorative value.
