Beschreibung
Provincial Baroque cabinet from the late 18th century. Probably northern France. Solidly crafted in walnut. Restored and ready for use.
An authentic piece of furniture with a particularly beautiful patina, crafted using traditional methods and high-quality materials. Cabinets of this type were usually made as a permanent fixture in a house and served as storage cupboards.
Tall rectangular walnut body with side panels, profiled base and cornice. Front divided horizontally into two levels with a total of 4 doors and a mezzanine with 2 drawers. Each door is made in a frame and panel construction and hung on external iron hinges. The panels are curved upwards in profiled frames and decorated with graphic geometric lines (engraved decoration/notched cut). This pattern is also found on the drawer fronts, whose bodies are traditionally hand-joined (dovetail joints).
Inside, the cabinet has one continuous shelf on each of the two levels.
Original iron key plates complete the piece of furniture.
