Large round planter for outdoor use based on the design by Willy Guhl. Iconic design from the 1950s-1970s.
Large flat-conical planter made of weather-resistant fibre-reinforced concrete (Eternit) with a slightly rounded edge.
Authentic natural patina.

Good condition with signs of use due to age and weathering and slight verdigris.
Willy Guhl (1915-2004) was one of the most important Swiss industrial and furniture designers of the 20th century. His work for the Eternit company in particular resulted in furniture and planters in innovative designs made from the material of the same name, which are now regarded as absolute mid-century classics.
This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
