Large French shop counter from around 1900. Solidly crafted from pitch pine with a marble top. Refurbished to a ready-to-use condition.
Beautiful French Country piece and ideal as a kitchen island.
Pitch pine body with all-round panelling standing on a rectangular plinth, topped with a white marble slab. The front and sides are symmetrically divided by a total of 6 panelled sections in moulded frames with small corbels. There are 4 doors and 4 drawers at the rear. A shelf is concealed behind the two lockable double doors.

Ready for use, with age-related signs of wear, including old woodworm tunnels (not active!), most of which have been sealed with organic wood filler. The marble top has a repaired crack as well as slight scratches and discolouration. Wooden repairs to the plinth. The old, damaged surface finish has been removed, the wood completely sanded and re-sealed. The interior, including the drawers, has also been completely sanded. Keys and fittings replaced. Drawer locks do not work.
