Since the Middle Ages, the profession of butcher was one of the most respected and lucrative occupations. This was often reflected in their high-quality furniture. Even then, the first butcher’s blocks were made with a top consisting of many individual hardwood squared timbers set on edge in a frame to ensure the most resistant working surface possible. The principle has remained the same to this day.

This Belgian model from the late 19th or early 20th century still testifies to the quality of these rare pieces. After more than 100 years, the work table shines in new splendour after its refurbishment. Placed in a kitchen, it is both practical and of enormous decorative value.

The furniture can be transported in 2 parts, the lower part and the heavy top.
