A French Provincial cabinet or cupboard from the early 19th century. Made from solid oak. Ready for everyday use.

Originally probably the linen cupboard of a middle-class or wealthy rural household, used to store table linen, bed linen and other folded fabrics. Today it can be used in a variety of ways as a larder, filing cabinet, bookcase or bar cabinet.

Traditionally crafted in gallery construction, the oak body is panelled on the sides with 2 double doors one above the other, a profiled base and cornice. The doors are of frame construction with panelled panels and hung on hand-forged external iron fittings. Original stylised key plates. Inside, the cabinet is fitted with a shelf in the lower section and 2 more in the upper section.
