Beschreibung

French corner cabinet à deux corps from the late 18th century. Solidly crafted in walnut.

An authentic example of traditional provincial craftsmanship in 18th-century France.

Two-part walnut body with a triangular base, slanted pilasters, two double doors and a multi-profiled arched pediment. The four doors are framed with flattened panels and correspond to the arched pediment at the top. They are hung on hand-forged external hinges. Mouldings adorn the cornice, the doors, the top panel, the plinth and the lower pilaster strips in the form of a frame.

Inside, the cabinet is equipped with two shelves in the lower section and three further shelves, as well as a built-in unit with five small drawers.

Original locks, sliding bolts and brass key fittings.
