A mid-18th century Baroque chest of drawers from the Aachen region in Germany. Solid oak wood. Restored ready for everyday use.

Four-drawer oak body with coffered sides, multiple curved fronts and corresponding slightly protruding moulded top panel. The bevelled, rounded corners and the drawer fronts are carved with panelled decoration and flat tendrils, typical of the region. The entire front has a multi-curved and curved moulded frame that merges into slightly S-shaped carved feet.
Inside the top drawer is a recess with a total of additional 6 small practical drawers.

Original brass fittings. Three locks are also original, except one new that has been added.

Depth: 59 cm / 23.22 inch.

Internal dimensions of the drawers: 12 cm (4.72 inch) high, 111 cm (43.7 inch) wide, 49 cm (19.29 inch) deep

Authentic slightly restored condition. Among other things, the following work was carried out: Gluing of all drawer shelves. One drawer shelf replaced. A new lock added. Key added. Drawer runner function restored. Additions to the drawer fronts and feet. Surface cleaned and waxed.
